Dear Mercy,

Dear Mercy, is a Worship band. Don’t you mean a Worship team? No, the Worship team is everyone in the room. Dear Mercy, is a collection of Worship leaders from the Greater DC area. There are several churches represented by it’s members.

Who is Dear Mercy, you ask? Well I’m glad you asked. Let me list these talented people here:

Drums: Gabi Kory, this is his 4th year of DC Serve and after a week of playing drums for another youth camp he makes sure to rush from work in DC to rehearse and Worship at DC Serve every night. He has been known to stop a song if the “team” is distracted or hasn’t fully engaged yet.

Electric Guitar: Mike Lunsford, this is his 3rd year of DC Serve. Mike has played around this area for a long time. He has an incredible testimony about how great God is. He will gladly extend a Worship set to a couple of hours.

Keyboards: Jeff Dunn, this is Jeff’s 2nd year at DC Serve although he’s played with various other members of the band for many years in different venues. He is a Worship leader and strives to honor God on every stage.

Electric Guitar & Vocals: Dan Rebeiz, he has been around DC Serve for years. He and Kishore play together as often as possible, collaborating on original music and leading Worship. He also produces local artists and is working on a solo project. If you want to hear someone’s soul through an instrument listen to Dan throughout this week.

Bass: Gene Evans, is a well known local musician in both secular and Christian music. A few years ago Gene and his brother Harry were signed by a record label and toured. Gene plays Electric and Acoustic Guitar but has humbly and happily agreed to Bass for this week. You will enjoy his inability to stand in one place during a set.

Vocals: Mollie Clement, is destined for stardom. She is the youngest AND the prettiest member of the band. Don’t let her age fool you, she can perform and lead Worship in any venue and you will be inspired to give your fully heart to God and sing with her. We are grateful she makes herself available for us moments before she’s “big-time”.

Sound: Ken Locke, runs sound for local churches and bands. He is dedicated to great events and will make sure that you can understand the words that are coming out of our mouths. An example of his dedication to this event is how he scheduled major surgery around our dates.

Acoustic Guitar & Vocals: G. Kishore Carey, calls himself a Worship artist. We know, that’s an awfully fancy title. The reason is that he is not trying to sing the best or play guitar the best or write songs the best. He’s trying to Worship God as hard and fully as he can. Kishore leads the band and will take all of the blame for how loud the music is, how many times we repeat songs, and how there are too many new songs. Fear not, if you’re ready for the next level of Worship as if you expect God to win and through you, win your friends you will not be disappointed.

The band’s core values are: humility, honor, and Jesus. We say it simply as, “Humility honors Jesus”. You will be hearing those words through the week and we will gladly share our take on how they effect someone who worship’s God in spirit and truth.

Peace, love, and blessings,

dm
